A number of 2015 Tesla S vehicles have been experiencing problems with their electrical systems. Drivers of Tesla S-series models 60KWH, 70D, 85KWH, P85D, and 85D have all reported multiple issues with sudden acceleration and erratic autopilot function. For example, one driver was driving at a speed of 70 miles per hour with the auto pilot engaged, when the car suddenly veered to the left, crashing into a metal divider. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
Another consumer was about to park their Tesla, moving very slowly into the parking space, when the car suddenly accelerated and crashed into a concrete wall. The driver did not have a foot on the accelerator at the time, and the car accelerated on its own. Over 100 similar complaints have been reported with these Tesla models.
