2018-2019 Chevrolet Traverse SUV Engine Problems

A range of engine and acceleration issues have recently been reported by concerned consumers who own or lease a 2018 or 2019 Chevrolet Traverse SUV. While there are no current safety recalls that affect this vehicle, drivers are describing a number of engine problems, such as lagging or overly revving engines, loud grinding noises when the vehicle accelerates, and engines that shut off entirely, among other complaints. Most consumers express frustration over repeated and unsuccessful attempts to diagnose or repair these issues.

One of the most common consumer complaints is a loud noise emanating from the engine, especially during acceleration. So far, dealerships have been unable to identify the root cause of this persistent issue. According to one owner of a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse SUV, the engine completely shut off in the middle of a turn, causing the vehicle to roll backwards down a steep hill. The car was completely unresponsive, and the vehicle continued to roll into a cement pole. Consumers continue to voice their concerns over the safety of this make and model, even though the manufacturer has yet to respond.
