2018-2019 Dodge Charger, Charger SRT, & Charger Pursuit Engine Failures

A number of consumer complaints have been reported from those who own or lease a 2018 or 2019 Dodge Charger, Charger SRT, or Charger Pursuit. While these complaints mention a variety of different issues, the majority concern persistent engine troubles that range from acceleration issues to complete engine failure. Although the manufacturer has already issued five recalls pertaining to these vehicles, many of the consumer complaints state that they have yet to receive clear reasons for these recurring issues and are awaiting permanent solutions.

One driver reported that their 2018 Dodge Charger began to experience engine troubles, as they would accelerate from a complete stop and the vehicle would lose RPM and emit strange, struggling noises. Even after four separate visits to the mechanic, no explanation was found. Another owner complained that their vehicle periodically stalls out at random times, such as when quickly accelerating, slowing down, or cruising along at highway speed. Numerous similar complaints have been lodged by concerned consumers as they continue to wait for definitive answers.
