2019-2020 Subaru Forester SUV Engine Troubles

Multiple reports of engine malfunctions in the 2019 and 2020 Subaru Forester SUV have been reported by concerned consumers in recent months. Engines that smoke while in motion, pulse or stutter while shifting gears, or that suddenly lose power when in motion have all been reported. Although Subaru has already issued two recalls on this vehicle, many consumers state that their engine issues have not been addressed or remedied.

One owner of the 2019 Subaru Forester SUV complained that the vehicle often starts to jerk when traveling at highway speed. Even after multiple trips to the dealership, no clear solution has been given. This consumer is wary about the safety of this vehicle while traveling at higher speeds. Another consumer reported a seemingly opposite problem—their 2020 Subaru Forester SUV suddenly lost all power while traveling at a low speed. Again, the dealership has been unable to identify the source of this problem or provide a permanent fix. Other reports of excessive smoke from engines and tailpipes, engines that sputter or shut off, and other engine troubles are still emerging from concerned consumers.
