2019 Infiniti QX50 SUV Braking Malfunctions

The automatic emergency braking system in the 2019 Infiniti QX50 SUV has recently become the subject of multiple consumer complaints. Many drivers have stated that their vehicles will brake suddenly for no apparent reason, while others have shared frightening experiences where their braking systems have failed to detect vehicles and other objects, sometimes resulting in a crash. Unfortunately, most of these consumers have yet to receive answers as to why these issues continue to persist.

According to one consumer who owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50, there have been three separate instances where the automatic emergency braking system has suddenly engaged without reason. All of these occasions have occurred while traveling at various speeds, ranging from 40 miles per hour to 70 miles per hour. Even after taking the vehicle to the dealership multiple times, no clear answers have been given. Another driver stated that they were moving forward after stopping at a four-way stop sign when another vehicle sped through the intersection. The predictive forward collision warning system and the automatic braking system in the Infiniti QX50 failed to detect the hazard, leading to a crash. Again, the dealership did not discover why these failures occurred.
